Interior Designer

About the Role

This role will work collaboratively within the studio design team, taking Interior design projects from inception to completion, and delivering high-quality outcomes for our clients. As a highly motivated, creative, and resourceful team member, the role requires an individual with a positive and professional attitude towards clients and fellow co-workers. The ideal candidate will be experienced in retail design and will have the ability for quick thinking, and clear communication of ideas verbally and through sketches/visualization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare concept designs with senior leaders, to pitch for projects, competitions and potential clients.
  • Prepare space planning, test fitting and schematic design schemes for interior design projects.
  • Prepare design development presentations and documentation.
  • Liaise with engineering services and specialist sub consultants.
  • Prepare tender documentation package including drawings, schedules and specifications.
  • Prepare construction documentation package including drawings, schedules and specifications.

You will be able to Demonstrate:

  • Ability to critique design and offer effective solutions.
  • Ability to work and contribute in a collaborative, creative, design studio environment.
  • Active within the local design community and have a comprehensive knowledge of materials, furniture and local code requirements.

Key Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in interior design.
  • 5-8+ years of relevant experience.
  • Expert in conceptualizing and translating ideas through to exceptional design outcomes.
  • Strong Revit skills.
  • InDesign and Photoshop skills.
  • Strong experience using Rhino and Adobe Suite is preferred.
