Project Accountant – 12 Month Contract

About the Role
The Project Accountant is responsible for overseeing project accounting, studio administration, and management accounting. This role also provides support to the Studio Executive, Studio Leaders, and Project Leaders across the Sydney Hub, which includes the Sydney, Brisbane, and Perth studios.
Key Responsibilities:
- Managing project accounting and reporting for the studio, including but not limited to revenue recognition, billing, tracking project completion percentages, forecasting project revenue and resources, and project reconciliation.
- Supporting the Studio Leadership, Project Leader and staff on all project finance related matters and ensuring all financial requests for information are delivered accurately and within the required time frame.
- Prioritising and resolving requests for additional information or clarification, particularly those that may be conflicting or challenging to meet within the given deadlines.
- Leveraging the broader finance network, in collaboration with the Regional Finance Manager, to enhance support and efficiency in your role.
About You
The successful candidate will have previous experience managing budgets and finances for multiple large-scale commercial projects. The individual will also possess the relevant bachelor’s degree and CA/CPA qualification.
You will be able to demonstrate:
- Bachelors Degree or Certificate in Business, Accounting or Commerce.
- 4+ years in an accounting role, with experience in project accounting.
- CA or CPA qualification.
- A high level of skill in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Outlook is essential.
- Knowledge of BST project management system is highly desirable.
- High level of attention to detail with rigorous follow up.
- Ability to prioritise tasks & manage time effectively.
- Ability to work well within a team as well as autonomously.
- Agile and able to adapt to change.
- Strong written & verbal communication skills.
