About the Role

The role of the Technical Designer is to support project technology systems (primarily CAD & Revit) on the nominated project(s) in our Singapore Studio. The role will require the use of efficient workflows in all phases of the design/documentation process.

The role has a close connection with the Studio and Project Leaders, to ensure that agreed standards and processes are adopted on the nominated Project(s).

Key Areas of Responsibility:

  • AutoCAD and Revit establishment tasks are undertaken on the nominated project(s).
  • Participate in technical review of project performance at significant milestones, to ensure compliance with group standards.
  • Contribute to the development, implementation, and maintenance of project efficiency tools for the nominated project(s) (e.g. Project specific block development, VBA / Lisp scripting).
  • Liaise with the Studio Practice Manager on project quality assurance project compliance.
  • Liaise with Studio IT Support on project-related software and hardware requirements.
  • Undertake CAD and Revit induction for new project staff.

You will be able to Demonstrate:

  • 8-10+ years’ experience in design, architecture.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to use time effectively, maximize efficiency, and meet challenging goals.
  • Ability to determine and manage priorities with minimal guidance.
  • Ability to work as part of a team, and independently.
  • Ability to work with remote teams.
  • Strong knowledge of computer systems and software applications.
  • Extensive experience with the use of technology on large and complex projects.
  • Extensive knowledge of BIM practices, standards, and workflows.
  • Expert Knowledge of Autodesk Revit.
  • Knowledge of related BIM design, analysis, and delivery tools (e.g. Rhino, Navisworks).
  • Understanding of local code of practice and regulations is an advantage.
