Woods Bagot is pleased to announce that six of our projects have recently been recognized at the 2022 Pro+ Awards spanning a variety of sectors and disciplines ranging from architecture to interior design.
About the program:
As an award with professionalism, benchmarking, value and credibility in the real estate industry in China, “Pro+ Award” takes “applicability, economy, green and beauty” as the construction policy, guides the sustainable and healthy development of urban construction, and selects the annual real estate projects with real commercial value, cultural value and social value from the three aspects of early-stage planning, post evaluation and whole process management of the project.
The Pro+ Awards is a collaboration between the Real Estate Architects Branch of the Architectural Society of Shanghai China (ASSC), the The American Institute of Architects (AIA) Shanghai branch (AIA Shanghai) and the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA) China Branch (RIBA China).
The project spans 700 square meters and is located on the top three floors of China Merchants Tower at 118 Jianguo Road, along Chang’an Street, at the southeast corner of the China World Trade Bridge in Beijing. The team provides a complete renovation solution for the dome by constructing a ‘ring of light’ and ‘sky realm’ based on the project’s unique architectural structure and light form, resulting in a quality space with a magnificent view of Beijing’s urban landscape. The project expands future office possibilities with a free and flexible package and interprets a ‘transformation’ of the city’s humanity and artistic character into the workplace interior.
Situated on the last plot to be developed in Taizhou’s new master plan, approximately at 23,800 square meters, the six-tower design proposal provides a new gateway to the city while responding, respecting and reacting to the underlying master planning principles of the city plan. The design creates a new standard for the modern workplace while simultaneously accommodating a human-scale, vibrant park-side public realm. This unified design integrates architecture and landscape, blurring the line between inside and out. The clever floor plate arrangement provides maximum separation between the towers while also creating a powerful building composition.
Located next to Shanghai AI Tower and surrounded by a large swathe of art galleries and museums, AI Plaza has been designed as an interactive ‘tech-galarie’ experience from the inside out. The space aims to pay homage to the spirit of creativity and creates a brand-new urban landmark for Shanghai city following its grand opening at the end of 2021. Designed to welcome visitors with seasonal art installations, the whole façade has been turned into a vertical commercial gallery – creating a dynamic interface between the outdoor pedestrian environment and the retail spaces inside.
Located south of Shenzhen, Longteng Master Planning functions as a sales office for the precinct with plans for retail conversion once the development is complete. Integrated with the surrounding Master Planning and plot landscape, the project fosters a customer journey that encourages views both inside and out. Creating a futuristic visitor experience, the project team delivered a building that can be easily adapted to become a commercial, community and workplace nucleus for the district. Solidity and transparency are vital characters defining a rhythm of ephemeral, white materials wrapped around the volumes in the shape of waiving curtains, inspired by the river flowing next to the project.
Nanjing MixC is situated in the center of Nanjing, includes a total commercial GFA of over 90,000 square meters. As one of CR Land’s mapping in East China, the project fills the need of the high-end retail experience in Nanjing with a wide range of new lifestyle commercial offerings and coexists with the city’s cultural legacy. The historic building – Yunzhang Gongsuo – has been preserved as part of the project, and it is distinctively surrounded by three commercial malls and blocks in units A, B, and C. The Yunjin weaving process has also been included into the spatial design across atrium and themed zones to increase the space’s commercial value. This emphasizes the collision and fusion of historic architecture, interior and modern lifestyle, resulting in an urban landmark with a more varied consuming experience.
This is the first mixed-use project of CR land in Dongguan, located in the core area of Songshan Lake CBD area, seamlessly connected to the transit-oriented development (TOD) transportation hub of Songshan Lake North Station. With a commercial volume of nearly 120,000 square meters, the project is presented in an innovative commercial form of ‘box + park + neighborhood’. The designers iterated and upgraded the spatial experience by emphasizing the unique characteristics of different atriums through elaborate material combinations to offer young families and white-collar consumers more fun and personalized lifestyle options.
