The Londoner named a finalist at this year’s New London Awards

The Londoner hotel goes from strength to strength as it makes another prestigious awards shortlist.

The luxury urban resort, located in London’s buzzing West End, has this week been named a finalist at the New London Awards, within the ‘Retail & Hospitality’ category in addition to being up for the NLA’s People’s Choice Award.

The New London Awards are led by New London Architecture (NLA), one of London’s most well-respected architectural and design organisations. These awards aim to recognise projects that “demonstrate the positive impact that high-quality design, planning and construction can have on people, neighbourhoods and the city.”

The Londoner opened its doors to guests and visitors almost exactly one year ago and has since made numerous headlines for its innovative and distinctive design, bringing new life to this corner of Leicester Square. This is the city’s first ‘Super-Boutique’ hotel, comprising an epic masterplan of interconnecting volumes, spaces and shafts of light and providing an entirely unique and enthralling guest experience.

Woods Bagot was lead architect on this project, working closely with the client, The Edwardian Group, interior designers, Yabu Pushelberg, engineering firm, Arup, and project managers / contractors, Blue Sky Building.
