Chongqing InCity Salon Event kicked off with a notable presence of Adelle Neary, Consul-General of Australian Consulate-General in Chengdu.
A high-profile Salon event took place in Woods Bagot designed project Chongqing InCity, supported by Austrade and featuring a collaboration between Woods Bagot, Chongqing InCity, TSUTAYA BOOKSTORE, KPF, ARUP, and DJser.
The Salon was themed ‘Proposal for Elevated City Life – Chongqing Impression’ and aimed to leverage the recent inauguration of Chongqing InCity as a platform to discuss on how communities, urban regenerations, locality and TOD will shape future commercial complexes.
Keynote speakers at the event included industry leaders such as Yang Wu, General Manager of SCPG Southwest Regional Co., Yuhuang Yang, Head of Product Planning Department of Chongqing Vanke, Yong Ding, KPF Director, Billy Ip, Woods Bagot Principal, Global Sector Leader – Retail, and Penny Cheung, Arup Director and Mainland China Leader.
Insightful speeches ranged from Mr. Yuhuang Yang’s exploration of ‘InCity in Modern Communities’, Yong Ding’s discourse on ‘Urban Renewal and Transformation of Landmark Complex’ to Billy Ip’s perspective on ‘Creating Experiential Commercial Spaces with Local Characteristics’ and Penny Cheung’s presentation on ‘TOD – A Quality Engine of Chongqing’s Development’.
The Salon highlighted the success of Chongqing InCity, showcased the operational prowess of Vanke SCPG, and demonstrated the synergistic collaboration between leading consultancies KPF, Woods Bagot, and ARUP.
The successful launch of Chongqing InCity has opened new opportunities for Woods Bagot in the Southwest China market, building on its successful track record in various sectors including retail and mixed-use, workplace, healthcare, urban renewal and transportation.
