Julian Cross shortlisted for ‘Architect of the Year’ in the Brit List

The Brit List Awards 2024 has unveiled its highly anticipated shortlist, with Woods Bagot’s Principal and Design Lead for Europe, Julian Cross, in the running for the Architect of the Year award.

Cross’s nomination highlights his influential role in shaping some of the most innovative architectural designs across Europe.

We celebrate some of Julian’s notable accomplishments, including the award-winning Minthis in Cyprus, a sustainable luxury resort that blends seamlessly into the surrounding landscape; the iconic Hotel AMANO Covent Garden, a vibrant and sophisticated addition to London’s hospitality scene; and the highly anticipated Synchro Yards, a 5-star hotel development in Porto Montenegro, expected to redefine luxury in the region with its cutting-edge design and focus on maritime culture.

The Brit List Awards, hosted by Hotel Designs, have, for seven years, been a celebration of the best in design and hospitality, honoring creativity, innovation, and excellence across the industry. This year’s shortlist includes over 150 individuals and brands, each pushing boundaries in their respective fields. The winners will be unveiled at a highly anticipated event this November at the iconic Ministry of Sound in London, where the industry will gather to recognize the trailblazers and visionaries shaping the future of hospitality design.

In addition to individual accolades, the event is a platform for celebrating the collective contributions to the evolution of design in the hospitality industry. From architects and designers to hoteliers and suppliers, The Brit List Awards continues to shine a spotlight on those whose creative vision transforms the guest experience and sets new standards for the future.
