Woods Bagot Holdings has made several key appointments to further strengthen the Workplace Interiors and User Strategy teams across its Woods Bagot architecture and ERA-co placemaking brands.
Amanda Stanaway, Global Leader – Workplace Interiors at Woods Bagot, will become Head of Global User Strategy at ERA-co on July 1.
Based in Sydney, Stanaway’s remit is to expand the connection between workplace strategy and fit-out solutions to enhance user experience, enabling firms to re-engage culturally with their workforce.
Her successor as Global Leader – Workplace Interiors at Woods Bagot is Kirsti Simpson, who has been designing highly innovative, dynamic, and efficient Global and Local workplaces for more than 25 years.

In another crucial appointment, respected and connected designer Hayden Crawford has been recruited to lead Woods Bagot’s Sydney Workplace Interiors team, starting on Monday, June 19.
Nik Karalis, Chief Executive of Woods Bagot Holdings, says the changes benefit clients and demonstrate the company’s commitment to evolving its Workplace Interiors and User Strategy teams during a period of unprecedented disruption.
“Amanda’s move to ERA-co will focus on delivering critical strategic advice to clients emanating from our research-based enterprises – duplicating the past is not a solution,” says Karalis.
“I’m also delighted to announce the promotion of Kirsti, who has done an outstanding job leading our Brisbane studio – a role she retains – and will work closely with Amanda to re-invent the nexus between client strategy and the inspiring places they create for staff.”
Stanaway says she is looking forward to taking on a new challenge after building the Woods Bagot Workplace Interiors business over the past 17 years.
She will maintain relationships with existing clients, including some of the world’s leading companies, while leading a global team of user strategy experts working across sectors including workplace, health, retail and education.
“The new role at ERA-co is a great opportunity for me to take a more strategic perspective on workplace and employers plan for the future,” Stanaway says.
At Woods Bagot, Simpson says she is honoured to be chosen for the role and excited about building on the sustained growth and diversity of the company’s global workplace business.
