Qatar Tradition and Culture Inspires Design for World-Class Learning Campus
Woods Bagot was responsible for the master planning, architecture, interior design and landscaping of the College of the North Atlantic in Doha. The College consists of more than 75,000 square meters of new buildings. Woods Bagot’s design concept is derived from Qatar’s local culture and history. In pre-project research, national cultural and traditional designs and practices were rigorously studied have had a strong influence on the design of the College.

Strong reference is also made to the road networks of the old Doha township. Reinterpreted road networks, becoming elements known as ‘wraps’, meander through the campus creating unique pedestrian pathways and fascinating interactions with the built forms of the College.
